Happy Days Pizza

Ingredients

  • 175g plain flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt (optional)
  • 1 tsp dried yeast
  • 1/2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 100 ml Althéra HMO, Alfaré HMO, Alfamino HMO or Alfamino Junior HMO – add 3 scoops to 90ml hot to touch water

Method

  1. Warm your oven to 240°C / gas mark 9
  2. Next, sift the sugar, salt, and flour into a bowl
  3. Make a small well in the top then add the yeast and the oil, and your warm water mixed with Althéra HMO, Alfaré HMO, Alfamino HMO or Alfamino Junior HMO
  4. Using a wooden spoon, stir the mix into a dough then knead by hand on a floured surface.
  5. Once your dough is nice and springy, place it in a bowl and cover with a damp tea towel to rise. 30 minutes is ideal, but if you don’t want to wait you don’t have to. You also don’t have to eat it all right away. This dough will work just as well frozen and defrosted at a later date
  6. Twist your main dough lump into four separate lumps of the same size. Roll these flat with a rolling pin – pizzas are traditionally circular, but you can choose any shape you want!
  7. Get creative! Spread tomato sauce (passata or a simple Bolognese sauce is ideal) over the top then add your toppings
  8. They’ll be quite floppy so you need to put them on a baking tray – either greased or with a layer of greaseproof paper – before placing in the oven. Cook for approximately 8-11 minutes, checking regularly
